Humor may be the entry point. It is not a pass to mislead people, blur public facts, or turn somebody else's harm into content.
Do not confuse a take with the whole story.
We have a point of view. So does everyone else. Facts, sources, missing context, and uncertainty deserve more than one confident sentence.
Know when not to joke.
Some stories require plain language, calm treatment, and actual care. Comedy is a tool. It is not the assignment.

The work behind the joke
The rules are not complicated. Following them sometimes is.
Comedy should never hide consequential public information or impersonate straight reporting.
We can be loud about an opinion. We should be equally clear about what is known, what is claimed, and what is still unclear.
Power, hypocrisy, systems, and public absurdity are fair game. Cruelty is not a point of view.
If we get something wrong, we should correct it plainly. Being funny is not a waiver from being accountable.
We do not become the final authority. Read beyond us, compare sources, and keep your own judgment.
