Find your facts elsewhere. Not because facts do not matter—because they matter too much to hand over to one headline, one feed, or one person speaking with suspicious confidence.
The short version
There are many facts. Nobody holds all of them.
Reality is not a neat thread
A fact is not the same thing as the whole story.
There are things that happened, things that were said, numbers that can be checked, and records worth reading. Those matter. But they arrive with missing context, competing accounts, uneven access, and people choosing which details to put at the top.
Perspective does not make facts optional. It changes the frame: which facts are visible, which questions are asked, whose experience is centered, and what a person thinks the facts mean. That is why one confident post cannot be the final version of anything.
Suspicious confidence
Anyone claiming to know everything is performing certainty.
Maybe they are selling a conclusion. Maybe they are in a hurry. Maybe the algorithm rewards a clean answer before the messy information arrives. Either way, certainty is not the same as understanding.
JPT has an angle. Every publication does. We will make ours obvious, keep satire visibly marked, and leave room for you to look beyond us.
What we mean
Read widely. Check the source. Keep your own judgment.
Find the primary document when it exists. Read more than one account. Notice what is missing. Change your mind when better information appears. Then close the tab when you have had enough.
That is not a burden to carry alone. It is simply a reminder that your attention and judgment belong to you.
